Daycare billing software
NestliCare handles daycare billing end to end, free: recurring tuition plans, automatic invoices, online payments with autopay, discounts and credits, and clean records for families who pay by cash, check, or subsidy. Billing is the feature free plans elsewhere most often leave out; here it is part of the product, because the business earns a share of the standard processing fee on online payments instead of charging for software.
The only number that matters
Online payments carry a standard processing fee: 2.9% plus 50 cents on cards, or 1% capped at $6 on bank transfers, in the US. By default the parent covers it at checkout and the daycare receives the full invoice amount. The number you see is all-in; there is no platform fee stacked on top. Cash and check payments recorded in NestliCare carry no fee at all.

- How much does daycare billing cost with NestliCare?
- The software costs nothing: invoicing, recurring billing, autopay, and payment tracking are all part of the free product. When a parent pays online there is a standard processing fee, 2.9% plus 50 cents on cards or 1% capped at $6 on bank transfers in the US, and by default the parent covers it at checkout.
- Who pays the processing fee?
- In the US, parents do by default, the same way service fees work on most online checkouts, and the daycare receives the full invoice amount. You can choose to absorb the fee instead.
- Does it support autopay?
- Yes. Parents can enroll a saved payment method in autopay so tuition collects itself on the invoice schedule, without chasing anyone.
- Can I set up recurring tuition plans?
- Yes. Assign each child a recurring plan and invoices generate automatically on schedule. One-off invoices for registration, supplies, or extra days work too.
- What about families that pay by cash, check, or subsidy?
- Record those payments right on the invoice so statements stay accurate, at zero fee. Families who never pay online cost nothing, and you can mark a family as paying offline so nobody nags them to add a card.
- Do parents need an app to pay?
- Parents pay from the free NestliCare parent app on iOS or Android, where they also see every invoice and receipt. Invoices reach them by email as well.
- Can I offer discounts?
- Yes, discounts and credits are built in, so sibling rates, staff rates, and one-off adjustments show up transparently on the invoice.
- Is billing really included in the free plan?
- There is only one plan, and billing is in it. NestliCare has no paid tier, so billing is never the feature you are asked to pay extra for.
